Description
Reading and literacy has become a specialized field and the demand for certified Reading Specialists continues to increase. Benedictine University, a leader in teacher education for more than 44 years, has recently launched an Online Master of Education in Reading and Literacy program that focuses on training qualified teachers to address the literacy demands throughout the U.S. school system.
Students enrolled in this graduate program explore the value of reading, writing and technology as tools for student learning. In addition, students explore the many faces of performance-based assessment as a primary avenue for understanding complex behavior. Experiences in this program are meaningful and connected to the issues teachers encounter every day in the classroom.
BU's Master of Education - Reading and Literacy is a 33 credit-hour online program, whose applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
