29 Credit HoursDrexel University's Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate program is a graduate Certificate program that qualifies students for state certification as Instructional Technology Specialists. It also provides a pathway for continued study in the Master of Science in the Science of Instruction degree program.
Instructional Technology Specialists positions are an emerging, high-potential position in K-12 schools. This certification is given to students currently possessing a Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II teaching certificate. The program was ranked as one of America's Best Graduate Schools 2007 by U.S.News & World Report.
Applicants to this program must have a Bachelor's degree from accredited institution, undergrad GPA of 3.0 or higher (grad GPA's will also be considered). GPA's of 2.75 to 2.99 must take and achieve required qualifying scores on the Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Assessments.
