Boise State University's graduate certificates are short courses of study in which students develop expertise in a specific area of scholarship. As a graduate of the Certificate in Online Teaching program, individuals will focuses on skills and issues relating to this new instructional paradigm.

In the Educational Technology department Individuals will study in a well-developed and widely recognized program-in fact, Boise State's Educational Technology Department is one of the nation's largest providers of professional development for online K-12 teachers. Individuals can customize this mini-degree to focus on students in K-12 or on college-and-adult learners. Students can also apply their certificate credits toward either of Boise State's Master's degrees in Education Technology. (No project or exam is currently required for exiting the program.)

Applicants to this program must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and adequate GPA.
