Eastern Kentucky University's online Bachelor of Science in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology in Fire Protection Administration program is designed for working professionals seeking to earn a degree in fire administration and protection that can lead them to achieve leadership roles and create advancement opportunities.

This program is well-suited to build student's skills and leadership in this specialized field with the help of EKU's Fire & Safety faculty who are nationally and internationally known for their teaching, research and dedication to the fire and safety fields. They are also active in numerous professional organizations including the National Association of Fire Investigators, National Fire Protection Association, International Society of Fire Service Instructors, International Association of Arson Investigators and the International Association of Fire Chiefs and work closely with FEMA to establish standards of practice.

The faculty is especially dedicated to student success and utilizes a hands-on approach to teaching. Applications for admission are accepted five times annually. Students in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology bachelor's degree or certificate programs may qualify for federal financial aid and/or private student loans.

All applicants must have 39 semester credit hours of eligible college credit and a minimum transferable grade point average of 2.0. Students can still enter the Certificate in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology program as a non-degree seeking student, and once you have completed 39 credit hours of General Education classes you will be eligible to become a degree-seeking student in the bachelor's program.
