Description

The online Associate Degree in Criminal Justice program provides students with a broad understanding of the criminal justice system and introduces students to law enforcement, courts and corrections, and private security management.

The criminal justice online courses look at the study of the United States court systems, correctional organizations, and law enforcement agencies as well as the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior.

Reading, writing, and critical thinking skills are rigorously applied and developed throughout the program of study.

Graduates of this online criminal justice program will be prepared for entry-level employment in:

  • Law enforcement
  • Correctional facilities
  • Juvenile agencies
  • Private security
  • Human service agencies.

The online Criminal Justice classes in this program have been designed to provide graduates with a balance of theory and practice that will enhance their preparation for the criminal justice field. Total credit hours depend on curriculum but will be a Total of 60 or 63.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED to apply. Not available to residents of New York State or Ohio.
