Students have the opportunity to transfer up to 12 approved credits of Applied Behavioral Science coursework to qualify as a concentration in the Social Science degree program. The fundamental understanding of the history and present day structure of the human service environment and administrative practices are supplemented in the Social Science program for a well-rounded degree. Students will be glad to know that they can transfer in approved credits no matter when they took them. So, the credit they've already earned will not go unused. Applicants to this program must have a High school diploma or GED, be age 22 or older, have work experience, preferably full-time work experience and meet the writing proficiency standards of the College of External Studies.
The Bachelor degree in Anthropology is a 120-credit degree completion program that can be completed with distance education through online courses. This program is designed for students who already have some experience or college credit. Along with general education requirements, you will also take at least 36 hours of specialized courses to fulfill the concentration in Anthropology.
Online courses for the Anthropology degree completion program at Charter Oak State College are $203 for a CT resident, and just $275 for non-residents. For degree seeking students, a good idea is the 'Comprehensive Matriculation Program' at $2,923 for residents and $3,960 for non-residents, which covers your annual matriculation fee plus 12 hours of credit to be used within a year. Normal matriculation fees are $985 for residents and $1,300 for non-residents (renewable at $450 and $660, respectively).
There is a $75 application fee, a $40 registration fee, and a $205 graduation fee.
