Post-Baccalaureate Nursing Programs

Post-Baccalaureate nursing programs are designed to give persons who hope to make a career change to the nursing field to become qualified in doing so. Many of these programs are accelerated programs and allow persons to do so in the shortest amount of time without sacrificing the quality education needed to be successful within the Health field. Persons from all backgrounds with varying degrees may pursue these options although those persons with prior training and experience in the Science/Health field already have a head start. Persons who have completed Bachelor of Science degrees in pure and applied sciences will be at a distinct advantage. Those persons pursuing Post-Baccalaureate nursing programs without first having a Bachelor of Science degree in the science field will be required to sit pre-requisite courses before being able to pursue full-time studies. Depending on the program courses, pre-requisites may take up to five semesters to complete.
It is never too late for a career change or specialization.
