The Post-baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education is a certification program designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor's degree and who desire to further hone their skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in early childhood education. Such program when completed qualifies the individual to take the State certification examination, which is a requisite for teaching. The early childhood education program have different major including Birth to Third Grade, Birth to five years old, Birth to Sixth Grade ESL Generalist, Birth to Sixth Grade Generalist with Bilingual Education, Birth to All-Level Generic Special Education, Birth to All-Level Kinesiology From eight to ten years old, and Birth to All-level Art, Music, and Theatre Arts. There are also post-baccalaureate certification programs for computers, math and science in the middle grades and secondary level. Likewise, there are separate programs for English language arts and reading, history, social studies, and languages besides English.
