The emphasis of this course is designed to help the novice journalist or writer learn how to be a correspondent for their local paper or solicit to work for a major publication.


Outcomes

Students will learn how to:

Instructor

Dr. Richard Welch is the executive Director of the Anti-Prejudice Consortium, an Atlanta-based non-profit that works with schools throughout the metro area, which teaches kids how to promote tolerance and fight prejudice. For more than 20 years, he was a professor of Communication, and most recently he became the chair of the department. Students from around the globe have enjoyed his knowledge and expertise and method of teaching his online writing courses due to his hands-on approach to various subject matters, such as: Making money as a freelance writer, Newspaper Correspondent and Communication.
