Description
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language and is the language of web page design. If you have little or no experience with HTML, then this 6 week introductory course is the one to take. With these lessons you will have your own web site up and running in no time! Learn to design internet web pages for your favorite charity, for your business, or for your own personal needs. With these lessons you can get the most out of designing web pages using HTML. Learn all the basic formatting techniques in this introductory course such as using tags, adding links, buttons, lists and images. This course also examines the pitfalls of HTML and what separates good pages from bad pages. You will also study the design elements that should be included and those that should not be included. Making up web pages is easy to learn and we use a structured hands-on approach.
Outcomes
Upon completion of our introductory HTML course, you will: * Learn the HTML building blocks in web page design. * Appreciate the importance of elements and tags in designing web pages. * Be able to design your own web page complete with links, lists and images. * Be able to format text, links, lists and images. * Know what separates good pages from bad pages. * Know what design elements work and which ones to avoid. * Understand the different versions of HTML that you can design your web pages in. * Design web pages that can be understood by any browser.
Assessment
This is a self directed lite course. If you wish to be assessed, there is an assignment that can be completed at the conclusion of the course.
