New Developments in Greywater Irrigation and Funding

Due to drought, climate change and sheer population increase, pressure is on developers and builders to conserve water in new developments. The focus for such conservation is on the landscape, which currently uses about half of all urban water.

This course will teach you what greywater really is, all the environmental and financial benefits of reusing it, how to legally capture and irrigate with it, and how to obtain matching federal funds for greywater irrigation systems.

  • You will be able to define greywater generally.
  • You will be able to describe greywater legal and technical criteria.
  • You will be able to explain local, state and federal funding that is available.

Student assessment will be done through questions based on the content delivered throughout the course.
