Memory Care: The Basics


This 6-hour course covers information about signs and symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and memory loss as well as communication skills and basic care skills.


In this course you will learn the basics of understanding Alzheimer's and other diseases causing memory loss, communication skills for helping individuals with memory loss and basic care skills to maintain maximum independant functioning as long as possible. This course will give the learner the basic information needed to begin caring compassionately for the individual with memory loss.


This course includes a pre-test to identify areas to focus on. Course content that allows you to read the material on screen or print it to read off screen and retain for future reference. A final test to demonstrate knowledge. Once the final test is competed with a 70% passing score you will be able to print your certificate immediately.
