Description
This course will give you a brief overview on how saturated fat intake can lead to an increased risk of certain chronic diseases, the differences between certain types of fats, resources you can provide your patrons on reducing saturated fat intake, and program planning ideas.
This course is for 2 CE credits.
Outcomes
After this tutorial, you will:
- Understand the basic biochemistry of saturated fats.
- Explain how diseases can be prevented by reduced saturated fat/meat intake.
- Identify resources on reducing fat intake for your patrons.
- Develop a nutritional program enhancing your patrons` knowledge of saturated fats.
