Description
This course gives the student a good understanding of the history of Electronic Commerce, How the Internet and the Web provide the infrastructure for E-Commerce, Tools and Software used to design, implement, and manage E-Commerce and E-Commerce web sites.
This course is an "E-Learning" course. The course is self-paced and taught by a audio of an announcer reading the leading topic and paragraph of each section. The student then reads and navigates through the remaining materials for each section. Each sub-section has a practice test to help the student review their understanding of that section while preparing for the post course assessment exam.
Outcomes
Students will:
- Identify the developments and uses of EDI
- List the advantageous effects of Business-to-Business E-Commerce
- Differentiate between electronic commerce and traditional commerce
- List the advantages and disadvantages of using electronic commerce to conduct business activities
- Understand the international nature of electronic commerce
- Identify how the growth of the Internet and the World Wide Web have stimulated the emergence of electronic commerce
- Identify economic forces that have created an environment that fosters electronic commerce
- List how businesses use value chains to identify electronic commerce opportunities
Assessment
This unit of the Electronic Commerce course provides student assessment through a pre-course assessment test and a post-course assessment test. Students are able to see test score. Student are able to re-take units to better understand the training. Student can measure pre and post course scores to measure acquired knowledge and understanding of Electronic Commerce.
