Description
This veterinary assistance program has been specifically created to enable individuals with the skills that are needed in caring for the health and welfare of dogs, cats, horses, and other creatures.
While in this veterinary assistant class, students will learn about:
- Animal physiology
- Animal pharmacology
- Animal behavioral issues
This program will guide individuals in developing the myriad of skills that are needed for working within any animal care facility, and will learn to conduct a number of duties, including:
- Administering first aid
- Recording vital signs
- Comforting surgical patients
- Coordinating boarding schedules
- Ordering supplies
