This course provides an introduction into how to care for and manage the horse living out at pasture. The course covers the natural instincts of the horse and explains how to provide a balanced diet to the horse or pony living out at grass.

It explores the management requirements at different times of the year and common ailments and health problems that can arise. Grooming, trimming and rugging requirements are also discussed.

This course has been designed to provide you with a practical awareness of the particular needs and management of the grass kept equine and provide a working knowledge of how to care for the grass kept horse and pony throughout the year. This will enable you to:
