As Twitter continues to grow, the part that education plays within it seems to be skyrockting. With every new day, education keeps taking a larger piece of the trillions of tweets being written every year. From students to teachers, parents to administrators, if you are looking to get a feel for what is happening in the world of education today all you need to do is take a peek at Twitter - because everyone is using it.

Which is why, for our third year in a row now, we here at Distance-Education.org have come up with a list of the top 20 influencers in education on Twitter. This list of the best in education on Twitter not only includes those Tweeters who provide us with important tidbits about the current state of education, but they also offer their followers a number of tips and tricks, hilarious quips, and hours of entertainment.
