After a little bit of research, we were able to find somewhat of an answer for the MSHA Part 46 Refresher and the MSHA Part 48 Surface Mining Refresher courses. The online MSHA courses will send you an uncompleted, unsigned MSHA 5000-23 from, commonly known as a pink ticket. The courses will send students a certification of course completion and a copy of their exam scores for their training record.
These should be used as support documents for the person at your individual's company to complete the MSHA 5000-23 form or whatever approved form your company uses to document MSHA training. Now with that said, the course does is not allowed to sign the form per MSHA regulations. Per the regulations, the responsible party for health and safety training at your facility or organization must sign the form and attest that you have completed your 8-hour annual refresher training requirement.
