Q

Why would Argosy Nashville go against Federal guidelines and only give a student the Fall 2009-2010 FAFSA loan money instead of the correct Fall 2010-2011 FAFSA funds when a student started in Fall 2010?
Are not all schools subject to the same Federal laws? Note: As a former Master's student at Nashville's Argosy University....they gave me what small amt. was remaining from last yr. (the wrong loan year)...which ended up not being enough. A lot of students are complaining about this now.

All schools are subject to the same Federal laws when it comes to the dispersal and management of Federal Student Aid. If you are having issues with your school's Financial Aid office, and their practices I urge you to contact Department of Education.

A friend of mine is an inmate in a State prison who has just gained his High School Diploma. He is very interested in furthering his education and I am trying to find out if there are courses he can apply for that are free of charge. Obviously in prison he does not have the funds to pay for a course and has no access to the internet. Are there courses where he might be able to get support and help in his studies?
