Every school has its own protocol for dispersing financial aid. This is all dependent on their working with the lending sources, department of education, and their own internal rules and regulations.

If you are concerned about the time it take to receive your financial aid, I would contact your financial aid officer, and discuss it with them. They may have some other options for receiving your aid early.

Also, here is a list of some excellent online financial aid articles that might be of some interest to you.

My kid is entering primary seven in august 2011. A letter was sent home with her today(2 days before end of term) stating that she will be moved to a primary 6/7 composite class. As a father of a ten year old entering her last year in primary, I feel this would be detrimental to her health / and her education. Is there any legal term to help me/her avoid this (can I arrange a meeting over the next 2 days with the school to discuss getting her placed back in her original primary seven class therefore continuing her studies with same classmates.

Being 60 years old, one semester short of a BA in drama/English literature from Baylor University and very active in the theater filmed in a foreign country, I want to know if it's possible to finish my BA and get a master's online and how.
