In order to sit for the CPA Exam you must be declared eligible by the board of accountancy within your jurisdiction. Jurisdictions are broken down by state. You will need to meet the specific requirements determined by your board of accountancy for the jurisdiction in which you are applying.

Once you have determined what your state requires I would highly recommend looking into both of the following online programs designed for students who have bachelor's degrees in fields other than business or accounting: Post Baccalaureate Accounting Certificate and Master of Business Administration-Accounting.
