1. There are several social/ charitable organizations for Elders. There is also a venture called Eldess which provides specific support services at a price. For example, they could send to your elders an attendant to accompany them for medical tests to a hospital (including getting a cab/ auto-rickshaw as required). The attendant could be used for other chores similar to what a friend would help with e.g. stand in queue to get/ fill applications forms, make payments, get documents posted/ copied etc. They provide medical services like nurse/ ayah as well.

A friend of mine is an inmate in a State prison who has just gained his High School Diploma. He is very interested in furthering his education and I am trying to find out if there are courses he can apply for that are free of charge. Obviously in prison he does not have the funds to pay for a course and has no access to the internet. Are there courses where he might be able to get support and help in his studies?
