After doing a little research, I have found that there is no special degree for individuals who want to work specifically with special-needs children. However, there are a number of online programs that are avaliable to individuals, such as yourself, who are looking to work in the physical therapy field. Here is a link to a list of those online physical therapy degrees.

Each of these degree will qualify you for working with special needs children.

Now with that said, let me also say that there may be certain state regulation for working with children, so what you need to do is contact your state's governing physical therapy agency to find out what those are.

My kid is entering primary seven in august 2011. A letter was sent home with her today(2 days before end of term) stating that she will be moved to a primary 6/7 composite class. As a father of a ten year old entering her last year in primary, I feel this would be detrimental to her health / and her education. Is there any legal term to help me/her avoid this (can I arrange a meeting over the next 2 days with the school to discuss getting her placed back in her original primary seven class therefore continuing her studies with same classmates.
