An associate's degree in social studies doesn't prepare you for a specific job. Instead it gives you analytical skills, writing skills, and an understanding of history and social trends that can serve you well in a variety of jobs. Some jobs that may be open to you with this degree include:

Journalist
Public relations specialist
Advertising exec
Copywriter
Social worker

You can also apply your Associate's credits towards a Bachelor's later on, and possibly save money this way. Some jobs open to you with a higher degree in the same fielid include:

Social studies teacher
Lawyer
Policy analyst
Professor
Politician

Best of luck!
