Hi Corry,
You would probably want to study both. To understand a lot of human culture you need to go back and see where they came from.

Sociology is the scientific study of society, including patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and culture.

While, Anthropology is the study of humanity. Anthropologists reasearch early human culture, civilizations and the latest discoveries at ancient sites.

If you were trying to study human culture, you would look at a particular people and see how they interact socially today and then research where they might have come from and how they came to be.

Good luck!

A friend of mine is an inmate in a State prison who has just gained his High School Diploma. He is very interested in furthering his education and I am trying to find out if there are courses he can apply for that are free of charge. Obviously in prison he does not have the funds to pay for a course and has no access to the internet. Are there courses where he might be able to get support and help in his studies?
