The difference between a BS, BBS, and, just to toss it out there, a BA is simply the basis of which the core courses are focused around.

In a bachelor of science degree program, the core courses are based on a science focused curriculum, where as a bachelor of business administration degree program offers a core curriculum that is built on business related courses, and so forth with a bachelor of arts.

So, if you are trying to decide which type of degree would best suit your professional needs and goals, I would research what the majority of people in your ideal careers have. This will help you in making a decision about which one would best suit your needs.
