What is a good movie about politics and racism in America? The only movie suggested to me was the Manchurian Candidate but it didn't fit with my topic of racism and the Obama campaign.
It can be a documentary, a big budget film, anything really. Thanks

Off the top of my head I could not specifically think of any films or documentary that specifically addressed this topics, but I would be surprised to find out that they do not exist. So, I did a little research and have found a list of documentaries that may get you started down the right path:
A Girl Like Me (2007)
Ethnic Notions (1986)
Race: The Power of An Illusion (2003)
Revolution '67 (2007)
When the Levees Broke (2006)
Malcolm X (1992)
I hope that you that these will be of some help, and I would suggest if you need some more do some quick searches for documentaries on race studies. This should help you find some more films.
Also, here is a link to a text that might be able to lead you to a few more films: Between borders: pedagogy and the politics of cultural studies, as well as this article from Time: Obama, the Movies.
