What have you heard about Walden University?
I am currently researching online universities and have found a blog-style site that is condemning Capella U for various reasons. The other university offering my specific field of study is Walden U... but now I'm "gun-shy". I would appreciate any input, positive and negative, about your experiences with Walden U. Are they seen as a reputable educational entity? They have been around since 1970 but tenure doesn't always equal credibility and respect.

I love Walden University. The library is every bit as good as any University you can think of. The online format is easy to navigate through and the courses are all of high caliber.

Hi Kat,

Walden University is a very well respected and credible online university among its peers. I would personally obtain a degree from this university if I needed too. I think most students are pleased with their experience and education at Walden as seen from the reviews they have left on this website. Some of the negatives usually has to do with the following.

1. Students not understanding that going to school online is different than a campus university. You have different responsibilities and communication requirements.

2. Financial aid and admission counselors can be less than desirable people to work with. They can appear to be pushy at times and want to hurry you into a decision.

If I were you I would read some of the online college reviews that other students have submitted about Walden University.
