What environmental conditions are associated with a school Psychologist?
- answers

Hi Diana91,
I think you are referring to what type of situations that a school psychologist might encounter while working on the job. From wikipedia: "School psychologists are educated in child and adolescent development, learning theories, psychological and psychoeducational assessment, personality theories, therapeutic interventions, special education, psychology, consultation, child and adolescent psychopathology, and the ethical, legal and administrative codes of their profession."
So that is a pretty wide field. I imagine as a school psychologist you will encounter environments and situations that are unique to young children and adolescent teenagers just starting to figure out life for themselves.
I imagine as a school psychologist you will need to put yourself in the mix of the world of children and teenagers. In order to understand their perspective, fears, desires, needs, you will need to approach them on their level so you can effectively do your job.
You question reminds me of those movies like Dangerous Minds and others where teachers rise to the occasion to help their students and get involved in their "environment".
If you could post more specific questions about what you are looking for for. I will or another person will try to answer them as best possible.
