With what little research i have done, I have learned that the specific major of your degree does not really matter when applying to a medical school, but it is your completing the necessary courses that is the important thing. I believe this is 2 semesters each of chemistry, biology, calculus, organic chemistry, physics, and English.
But, I suggest that you contact the medical school you are planning on applying to, and find out the specific details of what courses you need to take for being accepted to their program.
