I would like to become a restaurant health inspector in New York State. I have a qualifying certificate in food protection, but I would like to take online courses with certificates to do it. My question is, can it be done this way?

For that information you are going to have contact the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Division of Food Safety & Inspection. They are the only entity that will be able to provide you with the employee qualifications, which includes what types of certifications they will accept.
