With a general history major you have quite a few options to pursue for a professional career. Here is a short list you can consider when looking for a job that needs history majors. A lot of history majors with a BA or more education often go into educational positions to teach the same history they learned to other people. Some people also go into research jobs that want to look closer into the history and events that have happened to gain further insights on the actions of our past ancestors. In addition to educators, there are those that want to communicate our history to others in media organizations such as newspapers, magazines, etc.
