Becoming a video game designer is a great career for those that like technology and design. Skills that are needed to enter into this field often include computer animation, graphic design and game development. Often those in this field have a strength in math, such as Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry. To enter into the best jobs in the field, it is best to earn your Bachelorís degree. However, there are Associateís degrees that you can earn that can give you a taste of the industry and determine if it is the right path for you. Salaries vary based on your experience and education. For example, someone entering the field without the proper education, in an entry level position, can expect to earn around $26,000.
