Basically, to become a qualified spots journalist you will have to simply become a journalist who specializes in sports. So, you will need to earn your degree in journalism. Here is a list of online journalism degree programs. And, while you are working you way through your journalism degree program try to focus your course of study on sport related topics, which could include a journalism internship that is focused on sports reporting. This would be a great way to break into this area of journalism.
