Steve Jobs died October 5th, 2011 at age 56 of pancreatic cancer. Jobs was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. He was credited as the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes. He also previously served at the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios and was credited as the executive producer of Toy Story (1995).

Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003, but did not make this known to Apple till 2004. In 2009 Jobs had a secret liver transplant in Tennessee during a medical leave of absence from Apple. On August 24th, 2011 Jobs announced his resignation as Apple's CEO. Forbes estimated Job's worth at $7 billion in September 2011. Jobs is survived by his wife, Laurene, and 4 children, including one from a previous relationship.
