Distance education is offered by various open universities, IGNOU, KSOU, YCMOU and Sikkim Manipal are the leading universities offering such courses.

Free online courses are offered by a number of online institutions.
Please take a close look at our article that examines 135 free distance education courses.
You do not get credit for these courses towards a college degree, but you can get access to the same materials as regular college students would.
