PLEASE do your research before jumping into any online program. You would be highly surprised at how many non-profit, "brick and mortar" universities offer BA, MA and PhD in Education based programs. I have found several "ground schools" that offer Education degrees ONLINE that are not classified as online schools. It takes a good bit of research but trust me, it's worth it to have your degree actually mean something in the work place. I'm going to list several sites for you. RESEARCH, my friend!!! DO NOT SETTLE!!! If you need more suggestions you are free to email me at twinkleberry1212@yahoo.com

First, here is a link to an excellent online article that will provide you with the information that you need to know about becoming an online teacher. Second, about teaching at the university level, - while earning your bachelor's degree will give you the necessary credentials that are needed for teaching K-12, for the most part individuals with a masters degree are qualified to teach at the higher education level, usually only at a community college level or as an adjunct professor.
Also, as soon as earn your PhD in education you will be qualified to teach at any level.
