If you are in India, then having a school accredited with UGC or AICTE is very important for your degree and for your job possibilities. If you are taking the time to earn your degree and spending the money on it, be sure that the program you choose has the proper accreditation. Earning your degree is an investment. Make sure that you invest in a program that will offer the most opportunities.

Would someone studying Communications, Sociology and Film be qualified to work in International Development? Would it be better for me to go a more traditional route by getting an education in International Studies instead? I have more interest in spending my fours years learning about sociology, communications and film while volunteering with NGOs in Canada. However, would this put me at a significant disadvantage intellectually and experience wise?
