This is a tricky question. I am not going to be able to specifically tell you yes or no. After looking at the Virginia Board of Counseling's Counseling Regulations, my suggestion is that you you contact the Virginia Board of Counseling with the details of the MA in Counseling program you are considering before applying to that program, and see if they will accept that degree as qualification for becoming an LPC. This will ensure that you have it directly from the source whether or not the MA in Counseling program you are considering meets the standards needed to allow you to become an LPC.
