Does taking 8th grade math exclude my 7th grader from top 10 percent in 7th grade
My 7th grader is taking advanced math, 8th grade math, he is not being considered in top 10 for 7th grade. He finished the 7th grade year with all A's except for a b+ in 8th grade math. Can they exclude him from top 10 in 7th grade

What is probably happening is that student rankings are only based on grades, and probably does not take into consideration the difficulty/level of courses.

If you are still concerned you should contact the school, and ask what is the criteria for the ranking system.
