What an excellent question, and one I know a bit about considering my Bachelor's and Master's degrees are in two completely different areas of study.

It is almost typical these days for individuals to earn their Master's degree in a subject area that is different from what their Bachelor's degree(s).

Now, typically most will not stray to far from that area of interest, for example your areas of interest are completely compatible. A large number of individuals who have a Bachelor's in Business go on to work in the Hospitality field; however, that does not mean you cannot move into something completely different, such as English to Nursing.

In these cases what most Universities and Colleges will have the individual complete a number of prerequisite courses. These courses will give the student base of knowledge that is needed for taking graduate level courses in their new area of interest.

In short, the question to you answer is yes. Most graduate program in Hospitality will be more than happy to accept an individual with their Bachelor’s degree in business, just don’t be surprised if one might ask you to complete some prerequisite courses.

Good Luck!
