Medical billing and coding jobs are in demand and the need for these is one of the fastest growing in health care. Although there are not specific requirements to work in medical billing and coding, many employers look for university or vocational training. If you are certified in the field, you will have a much better chance of landing a medical billing and coding job and have more opportunity for advancement.

If you have your certification in medical billing and coding, I would highly recommend that you look at sites like Indeed.com or Monster.com to find jobs available in the medical billing and coding field. I currently attend La Sierra University and I intend on transferring to Loma Linda University for Physical Therapy school. Loma Linda doesn't require that I receive a BA in anything, but it is more wise to get one anyway? Will a BA benefit me in any way after I receive a doctorate?
