Q

Can I legally hide my real name and my gender from people in my (future) college? Or at least one of them?
I don't mind teachers knowing, but I don't see why would it be necessary for students to know such things. My gender isn't such a big problem, but I really don't fancy the idea of having to change my real name.

Let me first say that to get into in college or university you are going to have to use your real name and social security number, which means that every teacher that you will have will be given your real name upon enrollment in their class. What you can do is contact the teacher to see if it is possible to change your name, but remember you will more than likely have to do this with ever class you take.
