I am looking for an online course that will help me to develop a better understanding using solar energy, and it place in various areas of today's energy aware public.

That is a really great question. There are a number of online courses that are avaliable to any individual who is looking to develop there knowledge of implementing solar energy in various areas, such as hot water heating and home energy.
